Sony KDL40Z5100 TV – Peter Grogan – Washington USA
Cool look, easy to bottom on this page, which many cable connections such as HDMI 2, 3 and 4 are on the page height so that they conceal some difficult corners. Good multi-purpose remote control and image / sound is fairly good. Ideal for HD sports. Since it is dual voltage ideal for people to travel outside Europe.
Happy customer – R. Rosen – Westwood, Ma
For years I Was a control flat panel displays and has to wait until I heard that had developed, the fact that I would be happy. I made sure that blacks were not only a deep black, but also various shades of black, I waited, had to move fast in the photo is not blurry or frames that do not break. I was leaning against the line of Samsung, Series 6, and when I came on appeals to the Z series from Sony. I dare not see the flat screen and go through theFeedback from retailers who had seen, and I was not disappointed. The image is so good you could almost say that the only thing that was better was the next big step in the evolution would be 3D. The picture is so clear and so precise in High Def seems that you want, not much more. The Sony Z-Series is an LCD TV, I just do not feel good with only the LED colors seem wrong, but I'm sure in time will become large, but now I could not ask forbetter. This TV exceeds my expectations and life. live sports feels as if they are there and HD movies are great, but apparently some differences in picture quality film that can be collected when you see a television tube, I do not think the fault is Z series is more of a testament to how good it is. If you buy this TV will not be disappointed. I would also stress that while I concentrated on Amazon.com, they went on meone other provider, who had this TV for less. Kudos to Amazon.com for their openness.
Decent product with terrible customer service. – A. White – Peoria, IL
I bought this model at the end of 2009. appeared within three months, a vertical bar on the screen, which was about 3 cm wide, where the picture was reversed. I contacted Sony, who told me to update the software that remained at the bar. Then they told me that the HDMI output was only after I insisted that the bar appeared on other components and HDMI ports on my Blu-ray, PS3 and Xbox 360 they had seen who had an argument. They hit their exchange program where you send amodel certificate renewed and send the defective one back. Their website where the TV would arrive within 3-5 business days.
Three weeks later television appeared uncomfortable with the bar unit renewed. The box looked like coming down a mountain is generated retaped recorded and, after opening the box I found the TV screen with a completely destroyed and full of ants … Yes small red ants. I can only assume this came from Sony's Warehouse in TX since we do not have this typeof ants in my state.
After an hour on the phone with Sony recommends UPS would come the next day to remove it as compensation. What did UPS. Another week with the annoying bar, next to the TV arrived yesterday and after repackaging to send my defective unit back, I noticed the "new renovated units had a scratch about 4" on the bottom left of the screen.
I called Sony and they informed me that a scratched screen is acceptable and refurbished unitsconsider the matter resolved and will not be replaced. So I was always the possibility of a screen with a scratch or a screen with an image provided questionable.
I bought this from Amazon and they were great, was their major shippers. UPS was the largest loss, return, etc. (The UPS man drove up to ensure the package is not my second device before it damaged the truck in the morning).
My problem was with Sony and their total lack of customersService. As I told them this will be the last Sony product I buy, I would advise everyone to do the same. Sony warranty sucks, their customer service is a joke and a bad light on them.
The next TV purchase will be a Sharp, Samsung and Toshiba. Absolutely nothing other than a Sony.
Sony KDL-40Z5100 vs. Samsung LN40B750 – Hugh – New York, NY USA
I spent weeks trying to decide between the Samsung and the Sony KDL-40Z5100 LN40B750. When I bought the Sony KDL-40Z5100 for $ 999, the Samsung LN40B750 was sold for $ 1299 The $ 300 price difference is revealed as an essential by many factors. I preferred the look of the Sony to the Samsung, but Samsung seemed the best performance, according to various posts I read. My main concern was uniformity Sony LCD and other defects complained that many peopleAbout online forums. A look at two televisions to a local electronics retailer, I moved the image quality of the Samsung than the Sony, even though both were impressive. A key factor is the ability of Sony to stream Netflix content, a feature that does not offer the Samsung.
$ 999 I am very happy with my Sony KDL-40Z5100. If I had more for TV, not pay me, if I were so pleased with my purchase. Although the TV produces an excellent picture (contrast,Color, sharpness, etc.) is compromised screen uniformity of the posts I've read suffer warned. In the dark corners of the TV screen are a little higher than the rest of the screen. It 's also a center area of the screen, who suffers from a similar problem on the left, albeit not as marked. I must confess that my wife does not notice these issues, if this is a problem for you completely subjective. Also for $ 999 I love this TVdespite some problems. The TV picture quality is fantastic, and with streaming Netflix has built amazing.
